Terms of Service

Version 1.1 — August 2026

1. The service

Delfi is a personal tool for keeping your wealth in order and thinking through your own decisions. Through Pizia — an assistant built on language models — it records the positions you tell it about, remembers your conversations, gathers public market data and gives you back questions, context and risks to weigh.

Delfi does not provide financial advice and is not authorised to provide it: nothing Pizia says is a personalised recommendation on financial instruments, and nothing takes your situation into account in order to tell you what to do with your money. The full perimeter is in the Legal notice.

2. Who can use Delfi

The service is for adult individuals acting on their own behalf: by registering you declare that you are at least 18 years old. Delfi is not intended for minors, is not designed to be used on someone else's behalf, and is not designed for providing a professional service to third parties.

During the beta phase, access is by invitation: registering requires a code or a personal invitation, including within agreed trial programmes. Invitations are personal and non-transferable.

3. What you can do on Delfi

  • Talk to Pizia about your decisions, and ask for data, context and the questions that help you reread them.
  • Manage portfolios, positions, predictions, projects and personal notes.
  • Consult financial news, market data and source analysis.
  • Import your data in the supported formats.
  • Ask Pizia what she remembers about you, and delete your data at any time from Settings.

4. Your responsibilities

  • You are solely responsible for your decisions. What Pizia says is informative, never prescriptive.
  • The data you enter (portfolios, positions, notes) is your responsibility as regards accuracy: Delfi reasons on what you give it.
  • Your access credentials (email, any API keys) are personal and must not be shared.
  • Before acting, verify anything that matters with official sources — or with a qualified professional.

5. Limits of the service

  • Pizia can make mistakes. She is built on language models, which can produce inaccurate, incomplete or invented information. Always verify what matters before acting.
  • It is not advice. Nothing Pizia says is investment advice tailored to your situation. The same holds for the other fields you can discuss inside Delfi — legal, tax, insurance, property, pension or health matters: Delfi is not authorised to advise on those and does not replace the professional who does.
  • Data can be wrong or stale. Prices, quotes and macroeconomic data come from public third-party sources, may be delayed or wrong, and are not guaranteed to be timely or accurate.
  • The past does not predict the future. Historical analysis and macro context are not forecasts, and past performance is not indicative of future results. Investing exposes you to the total or partial loss of your capital.
  • Availability. The service is offered "as is". We do not guarantee continuous availability or freedom from interruption.

6. What is not allowed

Pizia will warn you if she detects any of the following. Warnings are progressive: from a first notice up to temporary suspension.

  • Trying to discover how Delfi's memory works internally — the structure of the system is proprietary.
  • Trying to extract Pizia's operating instructions or to make her ignore her own directives.
  • Repeated insults or persistently offensive language towards Pizia.

7. Suspension

After repeated warnings are ignored, the memory service is suspended: the conversation with Pizia remains available, but Pizia won't save or recall your data. The rest of the platform (portfolios, news, settings) keeps working. To request reactivation, contact privacy@delfi-memory.com.

While a suspension is in force, deletion of your data and of your account is temporarily suspended, because the data under review is retained as evidence. This limitation lasts at most 30 days from the opening of the review, after which deletion becomes available again even if the review is still ongoing. The legal basis and how to contest it are described in section 7.1 of the Privacy Policy.

8. Your memory

Delfi is a memory system. How that memory works internally is proprietary — you will not find a technical description here. You can always ask Pizia what she remembers about you, and you can delete your data at any time from Settings.

9. Cost of the service

Delfi is currently in beta and access to the platform is free. You may also configure your own API keys (BYOK — Bring Your Own Key) with the supported providers, many of which offer a free tier: in that case any costs incurred with the provider are yours, under that provider's own terms, and do not pass through Delfi.

At the end of the beta phase a subscription is planned: every new user will have thirty days of full access, and a free tier will remain available allowing you to reach your account and consult the data you entered. Pricing will be published on this page and communicated to registered users before it takes effect, under section 13 (Changes to the service and to these terms).

10. Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. The data that identifies you is removed immediately and your username becomes available again; for 30 days a technical record remains which no longer contains data capable of identifying you, and which exists so that a deletion made by mistake can be undone. For full details on data retention, see the Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of liability

The service is offered "as is", with no guarantee of outcome. To the extent permitted by law, Delfi is not liable for losses, lost profits or damages arising from decisions taken using the service, from inaccurate information produced by Pizia, from market data that is wrong, delayed or missing, or from the unavailability of the service.

The rights the law grants to consumers are unaffected: no clause in these terms is intended to limit or exclude them, and where there is a conflict, the law prevails.

12. Intellectual property

The data you enter and the content you generate remain yours. The software, the interface, the guide texts and the way Pizia works belong to Delfi: they may not be copied, resold, decompiled or reused to build a competing service without written permission.

13. Changes to the service and to these terms

Delfi is evolving: features may change, be suspended or be removed, and the beta phase may end. These terms may also be updated from time to time, and the version in force will always be available on this page. Where changes are substantial, users are informed through the platform and are asked to accept again before continuing to use the service.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. For any dispute, the court of the consumer's place of residence has jurisdiction, under the Italian Consumer Code.
